Today is the day we celebrate our oldest miracle who is turning FIVE years old.
Five years ago we welcomed our tiny miracle into the world
1 lb 3 oz
11 1/2 inches long
born at 30 weeks - just 71/2 months pregnant
The outlook was grim to say the least.
Doctors gave him no chance at survival.
The journey was long
The reward was great
Miracles happen every day
And I'm the Mom to two of them

For the first month, all we could do was hold his hand
Month #2 in the NICU
Feeding tubes, ventilator, an IV in the head, and battling many infections
After 3 months in the NICU, finally at home

3 months old and 5 lbs
There's no place like Home...
So happy to have our baby home and healthy!

The Lord has blessed you with your 5 year old... and... you've blessed your 5 year old with being great parents!
I still remember exactly where I was when I got your e-mail about Kidmo's birth. Dillon and I were at the Zermatt in Midway for a work thing. I remember feeling so worried yet hopeful for you guys. I checked your blog for updates all the time and was so excited when he got to go home. Can't believe it's been five years! Happy birthday!!!
What an amazing miracle!! God is so good! I have goosebumps from reading your post and looking at your pictures. Happy birthday to your little man!!! :-)
